Rick (old buddy from Jr High days who's been living abroad) wanted to go climb the highest point in North Africa during the winter. We climb Mt. Toubkal at the end of November with a huge amount of snow.

1st attempt at climbing the highest peak in North America. Denali/Mt McKinley, Alaska. A few of us are going back this June, unguided, hoping for better weather and a more aggressive pace.

▪ Temple Crag, July 2007 ▪

I convinced my brother Todd to drive up to Big Pine in the Sierra Nevadas in search of one of the most classic climbing peaks in CA, Temple Crag. It was a beautiful approach and solid rock. We'll go back for the Sun Ribbon and Dark Star routes.

▪ 25th Annual Wildflower Triathlon, May 2007 ▪

Todd and I competed in one of the hilliest, hottest Olympic Distance Tri's in Cali. We were both sick as a dog during the week beforehand and under-trained but both finished strong.

I never thought I'd be throwing snow balls while rock climbing in JTree. Low of 12° and it never got much above freezing but the climbing was good and the beer was cold!

▪ Family Ski trip to Switzerland ▪

What was just going to be a couple buddies on a Swiss ski trip turned in to the first full family vacation in about a decade. I love Switzerland!

The temps have finally dropped in J-Tree and I've accumulated a halfway decent climbing rack. Time to go use it. I still can't get over how diverse and beautiful Cali is.

I made a trip out to visit our software engineers in Singapore during halloween. It was fun being 'one of the locals'. I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I should have though.

After hearing McFee's harrowing story of getting lost and stuck on this route and learning more about it from Doug Sr. while climbing Mt. Russell, I decided to climb up this route solo. It was very steep and rugged and almost untouched by man. Very beauti

After summiting Mt. Whitney in the winter last year and seeing people ski down, I wanted to try back country, overnight skiing myself. Todd and I weathered a nasty winter storm up there. I hope he'll go back with me some time!
